Polish-born, Chicago-bred.

Andrea Jablonski is a multidisciplinary artist, fabricator, and painter whose work spans textiles, fiber, sculpture, murals, and site-specific installations. Influenced by her Eastern European heritage and extensive travels across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States, she merges cultural traditions with contemporary practices, transforming everyday materials into bold, resonant works.

Over over a decade, Jablonski has created an extensive body of public art across Chicago and beyond for a diverse range of clients. Her projects include large-scale murals, outdoor sculptures, and immersive installations for organizations such as the Chicago History Museum, Johalla Projects, Chicago Loop Alliance, Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, Pitchfork Music Festival, Logan Square Arts Festival, WNDR Museum, Oak Park Sculpture Walk, and Habitat for Humanity, among many others.

Her practice has been recognized with grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and numerous residencies. Honors include being named one of Chicago Reader’s “People of the Year” (2011), a featured artist in Chicago Artists Month, and a Chicago Sun-Times “New Millennium Artist.”

Equally committed to collaboration and community, Jablonski has taught with After School Matters and Gallery 37, and partnered with organizations such as Elastic Arts, Arts of Life, and Opera-Matic. She has also curated exhibitions at Elastic Arts, GAG Gallery, Silent Funny, and Twice Born Gallery, fostering platforms for experimental and community-based work.

Before immersing herself fully in visual art, Jablonski toured nationally as the frontwoman of the doom metal band Rabid Rabbit. Today, she continues to expand her interdisciplinary practice, focusing on fiber-based works that combine weaving, wrapping, and salvaged materials from her fabrication studio. Drawing inspiration from Polish folk traditions, mythology, and craft, her work transforms discarded fragments into objects of cultural memory and contemporary relevance.

She also hosts a monthly Eastern European–themed radio show on Lumpen Community Radio.
